Our history

1975

YEAR OF FOUNDATION

LA.RA. S.n.c. was established in Saluzzo by two friends and work colleagues. Shortly afterwards, when faced with the choice between the security of salaried employment and the uncertainty of becoming an entrepreneur, only Gualtiero Rabbia decided to carry on.
1986

THE BEGINNING OF GROWTH

Space was no longer sufficient, so the business moved to its new premises in Via Panero. More possibilities for machinery, people and new projects.
1997
ISO 9001 certification obtained.
2000
Continued and steady growth required another move. The company relocated to what remains its premises today, in Via Grangia Vecchia, to a space that initially covered 2,400 m² and was destined to grow further...
2003
With the transition from S.n.c. to S.r.l., LA.RA. became an industrial company. In the same year, it also obtained ISO 14001 certification.
2006
History is not made up only of happy events and, sadly, this was the year the company suffered the loss of Maria Grazia Farinasso. A founding partner and Gualtiero’s wife, Grazia had been part of LA.RA. from its earliest days. Her determination and deep dedication made her a point of reference, and her memory continues to inspire energy and motivation.
2015
Still believing in growth and innovation, the 3D Printing, or ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, department was inaugurated.
2015
OHSAS 18001 certification obtained, now ISO 45001.
2020
In a year that proved to be one of the most difficult in modern history, LA.RA. committed itself to the acquisition of DELTA ACCIAI SPECIALI, which became DERA ACCIAI SPECIALI. A tangible demonstration of its constant determination to grow and remain at the service of the client. For the occasion, a new operating unit was opened in Saluzzo, which also became home to the new central warehouse. www.deraacciaispeciali.com
2023
The company has completed the expansion of its photovoltaic system, installing next-generation high-efficiency modules across the entire available roof surface of the facility. The energy produced allows the company to cover a significant portion of its energy needs, contributing to the reduction of indirect CO₂ emissions and the carbon footprint associated with its production processes. This initiative represents a concrete investment aimed at improving the company’s environmental performance and is part of a broader path focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
2025
In 2025, La.Ra S.r.l. celebrated its 50th anniversary, a significant milestone representing half a century of experience, growth, and development in the design and production of advanced mechanical solutions. A journey built over time thanks to the expertise of its people, its capacity for innovation, and the long-standing trust of its clients.
